Nicholas Hawkins who married Elizabeth Long

I googled "what Hawkins male married Elizabeth Long?" and received the AI answer:

Nicholas Hawkins was married to Elizabeth Long

. Elizabeth Long, who later became Elizabeth Hawkins, was born around 1704 in Spotsylvania, Virginia, United States and died after September 28, 1768 in the same county. She was the daughter of John Long of St. George Parish and Elizabeth Long. Nicholas Hawkins was from Spotsylvania.

So beware of the answer and check it for yourself.

However I was surfing a bit this afternoon on the internet and found a tidbit that I wanted to save and am in a hurry to post and get back to what I need to do this afternoon.

An interesting will from NC:

Will of Alice Wade dated 25 Apr 1701. Grandsons: John Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins, James Hawkins. Granddaughter: Elizabeth Hawkins. Dau. Elizabeth Long. Grandsons: James Long, Thomas Long. Granddaughter: Mary Long. Exec: Grandson John Hawkins.

I don't have time to do justice to this tidbit, but I don't want to loose it.  A quick try to sort this out would interpret it to mean that Alice was the mother of Elizabeth Long who married Nicholas Hawkins.  A quick look on Ancestry gave me nothing that made any sense.  My own extremely unproven data base records what I believed many years ago.  That the couple Nicholas Hawkins who married Elizabeth Long were each born c.1704 and lived in Spotsylvania County.  So this will does not refer to this couple....I'll have to save this for another time as I have no time for at least a month to look at this more....and I need to look to see if such a will really exists....Anyone have answers for me? These early Hawkins families are sooooooooo hard to sort out!
